The Coventry joins Mortgage Brain’s new Submissions Brain platform

Published on

Coventry Building Society has become the latest lender to be added to Mortgage Brain’s new Submissions Brain platform, giving brokers the ability to submit directly to lenders using a single, standardised Decision in Principle (DIP) form.

The move sees the Coventry – the UK’s second largest building society – join Halifax, Nationwide, Santander for Intermediaries, TSB, Accord Mortgages and Leeds Building Society as the seventh lender on the system. More lenders are expected to be added later this year and into 2026.

UNIFIED SUBMISSION PROCESS

Mortgage Brain officially unveiled the new Submissions Brain module at its VIP client event last week, marking the launch of what it describes as the first standardised DIP form covering all participating lenders.

The platform enables brokers to capture and submit client data for residential mortgage applications through a single online form, with many lenders returning decisions directly through the system. Work is already underway to extend the service to buy-to-let products.

Submissions Brain can be accessed in three ways: as a standalone module via the Mortgage Brain Hub, integrated into the firm’s new cloud-based CRM Brain, or through an API connection with third-party CRM systems. This flexibility allows brokers to use existing technology and connect directly to participating lenders.

Mortgage Brain said the platform delivers time savings and efficiency by removing the need to log into individual lender portals or re-key data, while lenders benefit from wider distribution through a single integration, reduced operational costs and a smoother broker experience.

BROKER EFFICIENCY AND LENDER ACCESS

Kevin Purvey, director of mortgage distribution at Coventry Building Society, said: “We’re really pleased to be joining this platform, making it even easier for brokers to work with us.

“Having everything in one place saves valuable time and removes a lot of paperwork – which means brokers can focus on supporting their clients. Once brokers have their decision in principle in place, they can come straight to our intermediary website to complete the application, making it a smooth, simple process.

“Brokers can use it for residential applications right away, and we’ve already started on the work to get it rolled out to buy-to-let cases soon. It’s another step forward in giving brokers the tools and support they need.”

Neil Wyatt, sales and marketing director at Mortgage Brain, added: “It has been great to have worked so closely with Coventry Building Society, working in collaboration to genuinely create a solution that works for everyone.

“Brokers have told us that existing solutions do not always deliver the benefits that they expect – taking time to understand these frustrations whilst also working to ensure that lenders can meet their own commercial and operational targets has been truly exciting.

“We were delighted to showcase the new Submissions Brain module last week and are delighted that Coventry Building Society is the first new lender, added to complement those lenders that have worked closely with us to deliver this new streamlined journey.

“We look forward to further announcements in the coming weeks, and working with the team at Coventry Building Society to showcase the benefits of this solution to thousands of their intermediary customers.”
