The Cambridge launches free online event to guide first-time buyers

The Cambridge Building Society is hosting a free online session to help first-time buyers navigate the process of purchasing their first home.

The hour-long event, taking place on Tuesday 11 November, aims to give participants practical advice on saving for a deposit, exploring mortgage options and understanding the application process.

Hosted by The Cambridge’s team of experienced mortgage advisers, the session will include a live Q&A, allowing attendees to put their questions directly to the experts.

Emerson White, mortgage adviser at The Cambridge, said: “Buying your first home is a big milestone, but it can feel daunting when you don’t know where to start. Our aim is to take away the uncertainty and help people feel prepared and confident.

“Talking to an adviser early can really help you understand what’s achievable and what steps to take next.”

His colleague, Andy Fowler, added: “We’ve helped thousands of first-time buyers over the years, and a little early preparation can make a big difference.

“Simple things like joining the electoral roll or checking your affordability can help smooth the process and get you ready to move when the right home comes along.”

The event will run from 6pm to 7pm on Microsoft Teams and is open to anyone considering buying their first home.

Registration details are available at www.cambridgebs.co.uk/FTB-event.
