Tenet unveils QCF4 qualification route

Published on

Tenet Group has announced a new route for QCF4 qualification – and beyond – ahead of the RDR implementation in January 2013.

Created in conjunction with the Institute of Financial Planning, it offers options to advisers who already hold partial qualifications towards diploma – including not having to sit a formal exam.

Tenet’s ‘Certified Financial Planner’ route gives advisers the opportunity to achieve the required professional qualifications by attending two structured training days hosted by a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) professional and completing a financial case study over a 12-week period.

In order to be eligible, candidates will need to hold specific examinations in tax (either JO1, G10 or AF1), plus a further advanced subject.

Because Tenet is an accredited training centre, it can offer a discount of up to 60% on training and assessment fees.

The programme is the equivalent of a QCF level six qualification and carries exemption from the CII AF5 paper, which is the compulsory module for Chartered Financial Planner status.

Distribution and development director, Keith Richards, said: “We are confident this new Certified Financial Planner option will appeal greatly to advisers who have the pre-qualification requirements
