The Teachers expands lending into Wiltshire

Teachers Building Society has announced that it is rolling out its mortgage product range to customers of any occupation in its neighbouring county of Wiltshire.

The move follows successful launches in Hampshire last November and Dorset in 2010.

Colin Dorman, national account manager at Teachers Building Society, said: “We have seen a dramatic increase in local residents using the Society for residential and buy-to-let mortgages in 2013. To capitalise on this success, we will now include residents in Wiltshire too.

“This move takes us closer to our goal of supporting the local Wessex region in attracting non educational business.”

Teachers Building Society recently extended availability of its 95% LTV mortgage product to include Newly Qualified Teachers and has lowered the minimum income requirement for all residential applicants.

Its mortgages, including buy-to-let are now available to all teachers, lecturers and teaching assistants in England, Scotland and Wales as well as anyone buying or remortgaging in Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.
