Suffolk Building Society appoints new BDM

Published on

Suffolk Building Society has appointed Beth Hillman as business development manager (BDM) for central London.

Reporting to Charlotte Grimshaw, head of intermediary relations and mortgage sales, Hillman (pictured) will be responsible for developing new and existing relationships with intermediaries.

While she will be supporting brokers in central London, those firms identified as key accounts will continue to be managed by key account manager, Andrew Sadler. He will also continue to be the Society’s primary liaison with mortgage clubs and networks.

Hillman has spent the past seven years in the mortgage industry and has been a mortgage and protection adviser for the past four years. Her previous roles have seen her work with mortgage professionals throughout the Suffolk area, including Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury.

She said: “I am looking forward to expanding the Society’s reach in central London. By providing pre-DIP approvals, manual underwriting and direct access to underwriters, brokers can rely on the Suffolk team to help them shape cases and proactively advance applications.”

Grimshaw added: “Beth will be a huge asset to Suffolk Building Society, bringing with her key learnings from her time as an adviser – something we’re sure she’ll use to her advantage to further strengthen our service proposition.”
