Stonebridge introduces wills offerings

Published on

Stonebridge Group has launched a new wills proposition for AR firms via a new relationship with ULS Technology (ULS).

The mortgage and insurance network will be integrating the ULS adviser system for instructing wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) into its own Revolution technology.

The system allows advisers to input their clients’ basic details in order to obtain accurate will and LPA quotes for their individual circumstances. Stonebridge firms will be able to compare the services of over 50 solicitor firms who compete via the system and select quotes based on price, distance or service and instruct the solicitor firm immediately.

They will also have access to the ULS UK-based help desk which is open seven days a week.

Last month Stonebridge announced a new dual conveyancing proposition for its AR member firms offering them access to both BM Solutions Conveyancing and eConveyancer (part of ULS Technology), via its own Revolution technology system.

Paul Nye, business partnerships director of Stonebridge Group, said: “Advisers discuss will provision with clients as part of their initial fact find process and where an up to date will is not in place, suggest clients address this as soon as possible. However, all too often clients neglect making a will as they don’t know which firm to speak with for straightforward affordable advice.

“The service offered by ULS means our ARs can confidently help their clients to obtain immediate quotations at a very competitive price. The referral process is simple with excellent ongoing support so there really is no excuse for clients not arranging their will. Indeed, given the minefield that can be opened up by those individuals who die intestate, there is something of a moral obligation to point clients in the right direction. This new relationship with ULS, and the integration with Revolution, gives our AR firms access to a great proposition and peace of mind that a client’s wishes are being respected and followed after their passing.”

Ben Thompson, managing director of ULS, added: “Intermediaries have for many years provided a service that is far wider and superior to that offered through other channels. Broadening that service further into helping customers to make the important step of writing their wills, takes this even further still. Most importantly, customers win, but also in this example Stonebridge advisers will stand out from the competition and be seen as going the extra mile to do what’s right for their customers. We are delighted that Stonebridge has appointed ULS to work with them in this area and we look forward to making this a tremendous success for all parties.”
