Stonebridge announces line-up for 2025 National Conference

Published on

Mortgage and protection network Stonebridge has revealed the line-up for its 2025 National Conference, set to take place on 24 February at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

This year’s event, the largest in the network’s history, carries the theme “Act Today. Shape Tomorrow.”, reflecting what the networks sees as the opportunities ahead for advisers and businesses.

The conference will bring together figures from across the financial services industry to discuss economic trends, regulation, technology, and business growth strategies.

INDUSTRY SPEAKERS

Speakers include:

  • Joanna Legg, head of consumer policy & outcomes at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
  • Charles Roe, director of mortgages at UK Finance.
  • Robert Sinclair, former chief executive of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI).
  • Liz Martins, UK economist at HSBC UK, who will provide an update on economic indicators, housing market trends, and consumer confidence.
  • Lauren Myers, technology partnerships at Lloyds Banking Group, who will chair a panel discussion on maximising efficiency and improving client relationships through technology.

Sessions will also cover topics such as personalising protection advice, conveyancing, and the buy-to-let market.

Stonebridge’s chief executive, Rob Clifford, and business partnerships director, Jo Carrasco, will address members on the network’s performance, as well as their outlook for 2025.

NETWORKING AND INDUSTRY RECOGNITION

The event will also offer opportunities for networking, with a range of industry exhibitors in attendance.

In the evening, Stonebridge will host its annual awards ceremony, recognising the successes of its members in 2024 and celebrating its top-performing firms and individuals. The awards will be hosted by comedian Jason Manford.

LOOKING AHEAD

Clifford said the conference comes at a crucial time for the industry: “We stand at a pivotal moment for our industry, one where our decisions have the power to shape our future. From embracing regulatory changes to harnessing technology for even better client outcomes, we must recognise that the seeds planted today determine the landscape we all operate in tomorrow.

“I am therefore delighted to host so many intelligent, forward-thinking leaders from across the industry at the 2025 Stonebridge Conference. We are proud to host an event offering extensive networking opportunities, exhibitor showcases, and the chance for members to learn from peers and forge stronger connections throughout the industry.

“By fostering collaboration, championing innovation, and supporting each other’s ambitions, we can elevate our sector to new heights.

“I encourage everyone to come prepared to question old assumptions, discover fresh perspectives, and leave with renewed conviction that bold action today will carve out a more prosperous tomorrow for all of us, given the substantial opportunities in 2025.”
