Spring Finance makes bridging and mortgage team appointments

Published on

Spring Finance has made a number of hires following a record-breaking month of lending across all products.

With a staff count now approaching 40, the specialist lender has made hires across its bridging and mortgage team as well as boosting its compliance function.

The bridging team has recruited Amy Robinson (previously at Apex Bridging) as business development manager (BDM) for the South West of England and South Wales and Natasha Satanas as a business development executive (BDE). The mortgage team has added Will Merry, previously of MFS and Masthaven, as a senior underwriter and Binay Pun (ex Equifinance) as an underwriter.

Meanwhile, Tania Smith joins the servicing and collections team as a senior account manager for mortgages from Pepper and Dave Old joins as head of compliance from Masthaven.

Spring says these hires support both the regulatory controls of the business and the drive for business acquisition across bridging, development finance and mortgage lending.

In addition, the lender has also successfully increased the size of all three of its institutional debt funding lines and has closed on a very successful mezzanine funding round from private investors.

Jim Baker, Spring’s sales director of bridging, said: “The market response to Spring has been exceptional. In a crowded space it is important to create opportunities that add value to brokers operating in both the regulated and unregulated market.

“We have a hugely experienced team that is core to our proposition and I am thrilled to see two new additions this month to my team in Amy and Natasha.”

Andrew Bloom (pictured), CEO and owner of Spring, added: “In the two years since taking ownership of Spring, the industry has been faced with an incredibly challenging economic climate. I am very proud of the solid foundations that Spring has built.

“The quality of staff that have joined, together with our robust funding model provides the ideal platform to support our ambitious growth plans. Spring has very exciting plans for 2024 as we look to further establish our business in the specialist lending space.”
