SortRefer’s regional events drive 743% ROI

Published on

SortRefer has hailed its 2025 regional events programme as a resounding success, reporting a return on investment of 743% and what it describes as “unprecedented” industry engagement across the UK.

The conveyancing company, which specialises in providing referral services to mortgage intermediaries and other professionals, has now hosted or co-hosted 21 regional events this year, already surpassing the 18 it delivered in 2024.

With five more events confirmed for the autumn, SortRefer is continuing to expand its national footprint while strengthening relationships with brokers, lenders, and suppliers.

Events have already taken place in a diverse range of locations, including Solihull, Dundee, Middlesbrough, Cambridge and Carlisle, with more planned in Edinburgh, Truro, York, Durham and Nottingham.

Several of the southern events were delivered in partnership with Full House, bringing the programme to Plymouth, Kent, Bristol and beyond.

NEW BENCHMARK

SortRefer says the programme has set a new benchmark for regional engagement, with each event designed to deliver locally tailored insights and networking opportunities for mortgage brokers, intermediaries, and wider industry professionals.

Sessions cover a broad spectrum of topics, from market trends and best practice to compliance and product innovation. Attendance is free and includes CPD-accredited hours, refreshments and complimentary parking.

Kevin Tunnicliffe

Kevin Tunnicliffe, chief executive of Sort Group, said the strength of this year’s series reflected both rising demand for in-person learning and a clear appetite among professionals outside of London and the South East to access high-quality networking opportunities.

“Our regional events are about building connections, sharing knowledge, and creating opportunities, and this year’s programme has exceeded our expectations in every way – reach, feedback, ROI, and impact,” he said.

“We’re proud to be fostering meaningful connections and sharing industry-leading insights in regional areas that are often overlooked when it comes to networking opportunities.”

The programme has attracted an extensive list of lender collaborators, including Accord Mortgages, Aldermore, Coventry for Intermediaries, Foundation Home Loans, Hodge, Kensington, Landbay, Nationwide, Pepper Money, Skipton Building Society and West One.

Building societies from across the UK – including Newcastle, Nottingham, Leeds, Mansfield, Loughborough, and Furness – have also been active participants.

SortRefer’s events have been further supported by a number of legal and supplier partners such as Gilson Gray, STAMP, Watermans, and The Moving Portal.

The next wave of regional events is due to begin this autumn.
