Smitheringale rejoins HML

HML has appointed Mark Smitheringale as its head of client relations.

He is rejoining HML after a six-month secondment with the outsourcer in 2008/9.

It also sees a return for him into the Skipton Building Society Group where, prior to his previous position as head of sales and marketing at the Cambridge Building Society, he spent 20 years in a variety of roles across the group, including responsibility for the society’s sales, marketing and corporate communications, customer services and mortgage asset trading teams.

Smitheringale will report to James Parker, HML’s client relations director.

Parker said: “I am delighted that Mark is joining HML and the client relations team at this stage. Mark’s industry knowledge and sales experience will be invaluable as we look to develop more collaborative working relationships with our clients.””
