Skipton Intermediaries has pledged to get 250 first time buyers closer to getting their first home in an intermediary exclusive seven day sale.

The sale of a two and five-year fixed rate product – both at 90% LTV, both fee free, both with free valuation, and both with £250 cashback – will only be available on a strictly first come first served basis.

Skipton says it may reach its 250 first time buyer target before the seven days are up.

Paul Darwin, Skipton’s head of intermediary relationships, said: “Skipton Intermediaries has evolved and today our broker partners can see we really do mean what we say when we want to support them with offering competitive solutions to their clients real life lending needs.

“First time buyers are the lifeblood of our housing market. And more and more are turning to the intermediary market to get the help they need in finding an affordable mortgage from a trusted lender.

“We realise these products are likely to be highly sought-after and therefore they will be available on a first come, first served basis for seven days only. But brokers have told us for their first time buyer clients, it’s not a case of securing a mortgage – it’s a case of strengthening their local community, meeting a crucial need, and finding a solution for the younger members within it. So in getting 250 more first time buyers on the property ladder, with the comfort of an affordable mortgage, we’re delighted to be able to offer our broker partners something to get their clients the keys to their first homes.”
