Skipton Intermediaries holds £40k charity funding scheme

Brokers and employees of intermediary firms have until the end of the month to help win £1,000 for a favourite good cause.

Skipton Intermediaries is running a £40,000 national funding scheme, Community Giving, to give intermediaries the chance to reward charities and community groups which support housing and homelessness. A total of 40 organisations across the country will be chosen to receive £1,000 each to help them continue the great work they do for others.

The intermediaries arm of Skipton Building Society, the UK’s fourth largest building society, is providing funding to help community organisations and charities which are making a difference, including helping homeless people.

Brokers and employees of intermediary firms can put forward their favourite organisations for a £1,000 donation by downloading a nomination form at: www.skipton-intermediaries.co.uk/community-giving and emailing it to community.giving@skipton.co.uk.

Nominations close on Thursday 31 October. All nominations will be reviewed during November and the 40 groups selected for an award will be announced on Thursday 5 December and will all receive £1,000.

Paul Fenn, Skipton’s director of business development, said: “We are continually listening to feedback to ensure Skipton is helping brokers to provide the best advice to their clients. Our new Community Giving scheme enables brokers and employees of intermediary firms across the country to identify those groups which are doing great work and help them access a £1,000 pot of cash.

“We think this is something intermediaries everywhere will want to get involved in. It’s a fantastic opportunity for brokers to support a good cause with a share of £40,000 – money that can make a real difference in our communities. We want as many brokers as possible to get involved so they can help support their hero organisations.”
