Signature appoints national development manager

Signature Property Finance has appointed Paul Tromans to a dual role within the business, as relationship manager for the Midlands and national development manager to progress small-scale housebuilding projects.

Tromans has over 30 years’ lending experience, having worked for a number of banks over his career.

Tony Gilbertson, Signature’s CEO,  said: “This appointment demonstrates the growing need within the market to fund small-scale developments from the ground up, as more local authorities turn to smaller house builders to fill the gap in the supply of new homes.

“It also shows our ambition to reach beyond the traditional bridging loan market in which we have built our reputation and Paul is just the individual Signature needs to get our funding message out to developers in what remains of 2020 and beyond.

“Given Paul’s reputation for getting deals done and his extensive list of contacts, we are confident our typical short-term property finance products will also find many new takers across the Midlands as he fills the RM role, taking deals from enquiry to drawdown.

“Our single point of contact approach to lending is delivering exceptional results as we continue to hit targets set before the lockdown, which demonstrates our commitment to stay calm and keep lending is paying dividends.

“Paul is just the latest piece in the Signature jigsaw, showing a lender that works hard to get deals done and find reasons to lend, not turn deals away or change the terms at the first sign of difficulty. Paul understands the Signature way and is a great asset.”
