Shawbrook creates senior loan manager position

Shawbrook Bank has promoted Joylie Bates to the post of senior loan manager in its commercial mortgages division.

Bates (pictured) will be responsible for building relationships with broker partners, surveyors and solicitors. The new role of senior loan manager has been created to provide a point of referral for post-completion applications and enquiries, whilst maintaining a high standard of client communications and ensuring the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are adhered to.

She joined Shawbrook in July 2014 and has been working within the operations team as a commercial loans portfolio officer. She also has 15 years of mortgage lending experience in Australia.

Bates said: “I have worked in a variety of roles within the mortgage lending sector, both in the UK and Australia, and it’s incredibly satisfying to be able to develop my knowledge and experience further with this promotion.

“Brokers are vital to our business model and I relish the scope this new role provides to help their cases continue smoothly post-completion.”

David Morris, head of operational credit, commercial mortgages, Shawbrook Bank, added: “Joylie brings a vast amount of credit experience to her new role and has already demonstrated all the key attributes it requires during her first year at Shawbrook. I’m looking forward to the value she will add to our partners in this new position.”
