Two Shawbrook Bank Business Development Managers (BDMs) have started work in the South East and Northern regions.

Lee Albino is a BDM for the North, consisting of North Wales, Scotland and the North West of England. Coming from Yorkshire Bank, he has over a decade’s experience in the financial services sector in business development roles. He is a specialist in residential and commercial mortgages, invoice finance and merchant services.

He said: “I’m delighted to be with Shawbrook and to be able to develop my career with such an innovative lender. The recent launch of our heavy refurb STL proves that Shawbrook listens to what our introducers want from lenders. I’m happy to be getting out there to support our broker partners as part of such a dedicated and experienced team.”

Steve Matthews is a BDM for the Kent and London area. He previously held a national role working with a number of broker networks at Platform. He has over 10 years of experience working both as a packager and BDM.

He said: “Having now spent my first few weeks in training I’m really looking forward to promoting Shawbrook to intermediaries in Kent. Since I’ve joined we’ve already seen the launch of a new product and with many more innovative ideas in the pipeline, I’m sure 2014 will be a significant year for Shawbrook and I’m thrilled to be part of it.”

Karen Bennett, director of sales and marketing of Commercial Mortgages, Shawbrook Bank, added: “It’s great to have Steve and Lee on board. I’m confident they’ll be real assets to the team and I’m sure that now that we’ve let them loose on the road, they’ll help us engage with our brokers even more and make sure that we’re taking on board everything they say.

“We look for our BDMs to add value to all their accounts – it’s a true partnership and we want to be part of our brokers’ businesses.”
