Shawbrook changes structure of specialist teams

Shawbrook Bank has made a number of changes and promotions across its specialist teams within its commercial mortgages division.

Natasha O’Neill has been promoted to senior lending manager and will be heading up the commercial team. Consisting of four lending managers, the team is responsible for commercial and trading business cases, as well as HMO applications (both buy-to-let and those involving the residential refurb products) up to a maximum loan of £1.5m.

Gemma Smith has been promoted to senior lending manager and will be in charge of the new portfolio team. She will be working with four lending managers to handle residential investment portfolios and repeat client business, the latter where the application is for over £750,000 or is the client’s fourth business transaction with Shawbrook.

The residential team, overseen by senior lending manager Daniel Standing, will work solely on buy-to-lets involving single properties, as well as with the residential refurbishment product for this type of property.

The short-term lending team, led by senior lending manager David Alexander, remains unchanged and continues to cover the whole STL range.

Karen Bennett, sales and marketing director, commercial mortgages, Shawbrook Bank, said: “We’re always looking to improve our offering here at Shawbrook and these most recent changes reflect our dedication to continual positive change.

“The refinement of our specialist teams’ structure ensures we can increase the efficiency of our processes across each product range and deliver greater value to our broker partners.”
