Shawbrook appoints operational support head

Kate Wilson has been promoted by Shawbrook Bank’s commercial mortgages division to become its new head of operational support.

Previously lending support manager, Wilson has been a Shawbrook employee since its inception in 2011 and has worked in the commercial mortgages industry for over a decade.

Shawbrook said the new role builds further responsibility and reporting capability to support the numerous product and process initiatives planned for 2016.

Wilson said: “I’m excited about the new role and the additional scope it will allow in terms of improving service to all our business partners.

“An increased focus on analysing our current pipeline will help to unearth fresh ideas to help our brokers, and I’m also looking forward to discovering new ways to build efficiencies into our processes. When combined with overseeing the performance of our lending support teams, hopefully our broker partners will reap the benefits in the months ahead.”

Karen Bennett, sales and marketing director, said: “Kate is one of our longest serving employees and a key cog in the operations department. She knows this area of the business inside out and we wanted to tap into her expertise, to further enhance our offering to broker partners behind the scenes.

“I look forward to seeing the impact of this new role and have every confidence in Kate’s ability to deliver to her own very high standards.”
