Shawbrook has revealed the appointment of Daryl Norkett as head of real estate proposition.

Norkett (pictured) started his career at Barclays as a business manager, before moving to Shawbrook in 2015 as a business development manager (BDM). He took on the role of head of products & markets for Shawbrook in 2018, and now returns to the specialist bank following a two-year stint establishing new funder LendWell.

As head of real estate proposition, his role will focus on the evolution of the Shawbrook proposition, helping the bank to create new products and refine its existing offering to support brokers, investors and developers.

Norkett said: “I’m thrilled to be returning to Shawbrook and very much looking forward to working once again with the business that helped me discover my passion for the property market.

“Our industry needs specialist lenders with the appetite and capability to support property investors with creative funding solutions underpinned by smart and intuitive technology – an area that Shawbrook has relentlessly pursued over the past few years.

“I’m pleased to once again be a part of this ground-breaking business and am ready to get stuck in and support our brokers and their clients.”
