Shawbrook appoints consumer finance MD

Evelyn Hamilton has today joined Shawbrook Group as its managing director of consumer finance.

She joins Shawbrook from Lloyds Banking Group where she has held a number of roles since 2007, most recently as adirector of Lloyds Personal Loans.

She was also a director of Lloyd’s credit card and asset finance businesses. Prior to this, Hamilton held senior roles at Banco Santander’s credit card business and at Barclays’ consumer finance businesses.

Steve Pateman, Shawbrook’s CEO, said: “Evelyn has an outstanding record in consumer lending and I am delighted that she has joined Shawbrook.

“She combines significant experience and knowledge of UK consumer lending with an absolute focus on delivering excellent customer service and will help us to expand our offering in this market.”

Hamilton added: “I am pleased to be joining Shawbrook, and excited about the opportunity to drive further profitable growth in the consumer lending business.

“Shawbrook has an excellent reputation in the market and I look forward to working with the team here to continue providing our customers with innovative consumer lending products.”
