Shakeup at Countrywide as Stockton joins Bellpenny

Countrywide plc has made a number of key appointments to its executive team.

It also announced that Nigel Stockton will join national wealth manager Bellpenny on 1 September 2015.

Samantha Tyrer joins from Dixons Carphone to become managing director of retail, while Paul Creffield becomes managing director, business to business.

The new position of managing director for London is filled by Graham Bell, while Peter Curran is appointed managing director, financial services. He joined Countrywide this year from Lloyds Banking Group and his role, subject to FCA approval will be effective from 1 September 2015.

Kate Brown joined from Bupa in March 2015 and will lead the implementation of the ‘people agenda’ as group HR director.

Finally, the role of group transformation & change director is filled by Andrew Pennells.

“The appointment of Peter Curran, a career professional with over 20 years’ experience to lead our financial services offering is testament to the important relationship we have with the lending community. This will add significantly to our capability in financial services, a key focus for us given the growth of the broker market.

“With new arrivals comes a departure and with our full support and pleasure that he remains within the family, Nigel Stockton will join National Wealth manager Bellpenny on 1 September 2015. Nigel has been a director of Bellpenny since its inception and this role will see him continue to operate in the mortgage and insurance arena. Both Peter and Nigel have worked together for a number of years and their professional support for each other will ensure a smooth transition.
