Sesame rolls out OneView adviser platform to bring core tools into one system

Published on

Sesame has launched a new web-based adviser platform, OneView, designed to bring core tools, information and processes into a single system for firms in its network.

The proprietary platform has been developed by Sesame Bankhall Group and is intended to reduce duplication, improve visibility and make it easier for advisers to manage everyday tasks without switching between multiple systems.

OneView will initially include four functions: commission statements, advertising and financial promotions, a firm directory, and an industry news feed carrying market updates and sector insight.

Sesame said the platform can be accessed on mobile, tablet and laptop, reflecting the way many advisory businesses now operate. It means advisers can check the status of commission statements and advertising and financial promotions while away from their desks, rather than relying solely on desktop access.

The business said the platform was shaped by adviser feedback from the outset and will continue to develop over time.

Future additions are expected to include further oversight and compliance functions, which Sesame said will be added into the system without requiring advisers to move or re-enter data.

Speaking at Sesame’s annual conference in Birmingham, Shane Wright, chief technology officer, said: “OneView gives advisers a single place to see what matters most – what’s been submitted, what’s pending, what’s approved or rejected, and what needs action next.

“It means they no longer need to switch between systems, or hunt around in their inbox for information. It’s about giving advisers time back. Time back to focus on clients. Time back to have better conversations.”

Toni Smith, director of Sesame, said: “This is an exciting moment for the Sesame network. As a Proactive Partner for Life, Sesame’s goal is to give our firms the tools to start, run, grow and exit their business with confidence.

“OneView will transform the adviser experience, helping them to be more focused, more efficient, and more productive, ultimately delivering a better service for their clients.”

The launch forms part of Sesame’s wider technology and data transformation programme, with the initial release focused on giving advisers a single access point for some of the most regularly used functions across the network.
