Today sees Santander bringing all its intermediary product brands together under a new umbrella brand of Santander for Intermediaries, offering Abbey mortgages, Cater Allen Private Bank banking and cash management products, Santander General Insurance, and the intermediary referral platform for Santander Current Accounts.

To support the launch of the new brand, a new website for Santander for Intermediaries – www.santanderforintermediaries.co.uk – has launched today, where intermediaries can access Santander for Intermediaries’ full range of products and services.

The website features an online video in which Miguel Sard, managing director of Santander for Intermediaries, and Brad Fordham, sales director of Santander for Intermediaries, talk about the new brand and the benefits it will offer intermediaries and their clients.

In addition, a competition for intermediaries has been launched on the new website to celebrate the rebrand. The multiple choice competition will give one lucky intermediary the chance to meet one of Santander’s three brand ambassadors – Jessica Ennis-Hill, Rory McIlroy or Jenson Button – at a meet and greet event.

The competition opens today and is designed to test how well entrants know the brand ambassadors, with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes merchandise on offer to 10 runners up. Full terms and conditions can be found on the website.

A refreshed marketing campaign is also being launched to support the new distribution brand for Santander’s intermediary partners, introducing Santander’s three brand ambassadors as the new faces of Santander for Intermediaries.

An updated iPhone app will soon be available to download for free from the Apple app store and intermediaries will be able to find this by searching for ‘Santander for Intermediaries’. In the meantime, the original app is still available from the Apple app store.

Intermediaries will see the Abbey for Intermediaries distribution brand replaced by Santander for Intermediaries from today onwards, but the Abbey mortgage brand will continue to be used, reflecting its heritage in the intermediary mortgage market.

Sard said: “Our vision at Santander for Intermediaries is to be the intermediary partner of choice and we want to work even more closely with our intermediary partners to write quality business and meet the needs of their clients. The intermediary channel is very important to Santander and we are committed to broadening and deepening our relationships with intermediaries.

“We look forward to continuing to support the market as Santander for Intermediaries and to celebrate the new brand, we are launching a competition offering one lucky winner the chance to meet one of Santander’s brand ambassadors. The competition is hosted on our new website, where intermediaries can find out more about working with Santander for Intermediaries and the great benefits available to them and their clients.”
