Russell Quirk is to become a shareholder in the Property Investor Show, strengthening his involvement with one of the UK property sector’s longest-running exhibitions.
The Property Investor Show has been a fixture of the property calendar since launching in 2002 and is now held twice a year at London’s Excel Centre. Each event attracts more than 5,000 visitors and over 100 exhibitors, with more than 250,000 attendees having passed through its doors over the past two decades.
The show brings together landlords, developers and investors with lenders, brokers, property educators and a wide range of professional service providers, making it a regular meeting point for those active across residential investment and property finance.
Quirk has been closely associated with the event since 2022, appearing as a speaker and host of expert panel sessions. These have covered topics including housing market conditions, development activity, development finance and the implications of the Renters Rights Act.
Under the new arrangement, Quirk will take a shareholder role and become more involved in the future direction of the show as it looks to expand and develop its offering.
Quirk said: “I’m delighted to be further involved with Nick, Mike and the team in what is undoubtedly the highlight of the property investor calendar, an event that is famous for helping landlords and would-be investors to navigate the complications, nuances and changes within the resi investment space.
“The PRS has been through a number of challenges of late, politically and economically, and our April show will continue to support the sector in making the very best of this altered landscape.
“And from October’s event onwards we will aim to significantly enhance and grow the Property Investor Show offering.
“My involvement complements the ProperPR business which is going from strength to strength, delivering a 26% increase in revenue to a seven-figure sum last year and which I remain very committed to.”
Nick Clark, founder and director of the Property Investor Show, said the event had remained a constant for the sector through multiple market cycles.
Clark said: “The Property Investor Show is the most established event of its kind and has stood the test of time as a reliable friend to landlords, HMO owners and developers where expert advice and tools meet existing and future property entrepreneurs.
“I’m delighted that Russell is now formally a part of the ownership and management of the show and I’m sincerely looking forward to the energy, the ideas and the contacts that he will bring to the team.”
