Roma boss wins entrepreneurial award

Scott Marshall, founder and Managing Director of specialist bridging lender Roma Finance, has won the EN Award for Financial & Professional Services Entrepreneur of the Year 2016.

The awards celebrate business professionals in the North West.

Marshall (pictured) has worked to grow Roma Finance, securing a funding facility from RBS two weeks after the Brexit vote and growing the business by over 300% in the first half of 2016.

He said: “It’s a tremendous honour to have won and I feel very proud. I’m delighted with the award and would like to say a big thank you to my wife who’s supported me from setting up Roma Finance in 2008 to where we are now – a hugely successful finance lender. And also a big thank you to my team who have worked extremely hard to grow the business alongside me.

“An award like this really puts Roma Finance on the map both regionally and nationally. From small and very humble beginnings, this award shows that all the effort and dedication has paid off and Roma Finance are now an established lender in the bridging market. It’s been hard work but well worth it.”
