Quantum Mortgages backs launch of Fort Bridging in strategic partnership

Published on

Quantum Mortgages has announced a collaboration with Fort Advice Bureau in support of the newly launched Fort Bridging, marking a strategic move into the bridging and development finance market.

The specialist buy-to-let lender unveiled its bridging proposition earlier this year, aiming to mirror the flexibility and transparency of its existing buy-to-let range. Since then, it has been working with intermediaries to expand its short-term finance offerings.

Among the first to align with the new initiative is Fort Advice Bureau, which recently broadened its services to include bridging and development finance through the launch of Fort Bridging.

The expansion is a natural progression for the firm, whose managing director, Peter Matthews, brings hands-on experience in both broking and lending within the bridging finance sector. The Fort Bridging team—Philip Duffy, Vishal Kundalia, Christian Miles and Jake Stott—collectively bring five decades of mortgage industry experience to the new venture.

The in-house advisory team is intended to improve the customer journey, allowing clients to benefit from continuity of service across both bridging and longer-term mortgage solutions. Clients will be able to work with the same adviser, valuer, solicitor and lender throughout, streamlining the process and reducing duplication.

Quantum’s bridging proposition includes instant terms, transparent pricing and access to the same underwriting criteria and approach found in its BTL range. The lender promises brokers a “what you see is what you get” model, with no hidden fees and direct access to decision-makers.

Wes Friedel, head of bridging finance at Quantum Mortgages, said: “We’re delighted to be working alongside the team at Fort Bridging on their new venture. Our aligned company values, and our commitment to providing excellence in our lending and advice has made this the perfect partnership.”

Vishal Kundalia, mortgage and protection adviser at Fort Bridging, added: “Ensuring we’re giving our clients the best possible service and lending experience is paramount. That’s why we’re delighted to be working alongside Quantum Mortgages.

“Their competitive packages, partnered with direct access to their underwriters is going to be a real help when giving advice on this specialised area of lending.”
