Pure Retirement supports new My Care Consultant guide

Published on

Pure Retirement is supporting My Care Consultant with the launch of its new practical guide, ‘Your Guide To Getting The Care You Need’.

The guide is designed to enable financial advice firms to respond quickly and constructively to their clients at the first mention of a care need for themselves, a family member or a loved one.

Available to members of its Care Box adviser platform, My Care Consultant’s new guide delivers initial guidance when the need for care presents itself. It aims to help advisers engage more new clients, and to build relationships with the entire family by supporting an intergenerational planning piece. In addition, it has been designed to help support advisers’ wider vulnerable client policy by helping to meet the needs of older people who are in need of care. A sample extract of the new guide can be found here.

Advisers can sign up for Care Box, a members-only technical resource for financial services professionals, financial advisers and support staff offering tools, information and support on care-related topics and the ways to pay for care.

The platform is currently offering a month’s free trial in addition to its usual membership options.

Jacqueline Berry, My Care Consultant’s founding director, said: “Navigating the confusing maze of the Health and Social Care sectors in the UK today can be bewildering for people dealing with it for the first time.

“We’ve often been asked by advisers whether we know of a simple, clear guide that they could give to their clients at the beginning of their care journey.

“We’ve been looking for something suitable for some time, but we could never find one that really did the job – so we decided to create it ourselves! Pure Retirement recognised the need for a guide like this and gave us access to their design team, who have done a fantastic job of making the guide look great. They’re also facilitating a really generous hard-copy printing and delivery service for our Care Box subscribers, which I know will be very well received.”

Paul Carter (pictured), Pure Retirement’s CEO, added: “There is a natural link between housing equity and long-term care, with many considering using equity release to contribute towards their care costs. However, we’re also acutely aware that this is a highly complex and emotive topic for many, and it’s an area where accurate advice is key.

“As a result, we’re pleased to be helping My Care Consultant bring this new guide to the wider market, and helping to bridge the knowledge gap between the two industries for the benefit of both advisers and their client base.”
