Perspective Financial Group Ltd has revealed that its Maidstone, Kent office, Professional Investment Management Services (Maidstone) Ltd (PIMS), has achieved Corporate Chartered status.

PIMS was granted the title of ‘Corporate Chartered Firm’ by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) having met its criteria relating to professionalism and capability.

All Chartered firms commit to the CII’s Code of Ethics, reinforcing standards of professional practice in their business dealings. They must also commit to adhering to the CII’s continuing professional development requirements.

PIMS becomes the sixth Perspective office to hold Corporate Chartered Firm status following on from Financial Connection Wealth Management, Rutherford Wilkinson, Leedham Independent Financial Advisers, Harrogate Financial Solutions and Platinum Portfolios.

Kevin Mullins, director of PIMS, said: “Receiving this recognition is a great reward for the hard work our team has put into maintaining and enhancing the professionalism of our company and we are pleased that we can now be acknowledged among a select band of adviser firms.

“The impending RDR regime is all about raising the reputation of the industry as a whole and by becoming Chartered we are now able to reaffirm to clients and professional connections that they are dealing with a business of the highest calibre. PIMS passed its 25th birthday this year and achieving Corporate Chartered status is a suitable celebration for reaching such a landmark and testament to the fact that we are always looking to the future.”

Julie Hepworth, group regulatory manager at Perspective Financial Group Ltd, added: “We’re committed to supporting our offices in their drive to achieving Corporate Chartered status and it is really pleasing to add another name to our growing list of Chartered firms so soon after announcing our fifth firm earlier this month. PIMS is our sixth firm to hold such an accolade and we expect to see further Perspective offices reach this standard.

“Clients are becoming much more aware of the increased qualification standards that RDR requires and they will expect the highest levels of professionalism from the advisers they choose to entrust with their financial planning. Corporate Chartered status demonstrates to clients that their adviser firm is fully committed to the highest standards of professional development, capability and ethical practice.”
