Precise marks first anniversary of broker app

Published on

Precise, part of the OSB Group, is celebrating the first anniversary of its broker mobile app, which was billed at launch as a first-of-its-kind tool in the specialist lending sector.

The app, designed to give registered brokers instant access to case updates and criteria, has been accessed more than 4,000 times in its first year, with over 70% of users opting in to push notifications. These provide real-time updates, which the lender says has proved especially valuable outside traditional working hours and at weekends.

Brokers have praised the app’s ability to save time and reduce the need for phone calls. One broker described it as a way to “keep updated without hassle of calling in”, while another highlighted the ease of “getting quick updates or checking criteria on the go”.

Jon Hall

Jon Hall, group managing director, mortgages and savings at OSB Group, said: “We are delighted with the results and feedback since the launch of our app, it’s great to hear how much of a time-saver the app has been for brokers.

“In Q1 this year, the best ever performance for bridging case completions was recorded. This is echoed in our own findings with a higher percentage of brokers using the app for bridging case updates – really showing its worth with the most time-critical cases.”

Seren Norton, operations director at Mortgage Lane, added: “The Precise app is innovative and provides a seamless process, which is incredibly convenient for case updates and criteria on the move.

“It’s something I would definitely recommend to others as it allows our whole team at Mortgage Lane to get updates on cases so much quicker than using desktop.”
