Positive Lending to hold specialist lending roadshow events

Published on

Positive Lending has launched a series of roundtable events for its Spring Specialist Lending Roadshow offering dedicated time with lenders.

The series of half day events will be held in locations across the UK, consisting of roundtable discussions with speakers from MT Finance, The Mortgage Lender, LiveMore, Central Trust, Quantum Mortgages, OSB Group and Foundation Home Loans and keynote speeches by Emily Hollands, head of specialist finance at OSB Group and Grant Hendry, head of sales at Foundation Home Loans.

Along with gaining insight from lenders, each event will offer the chance to discuss harder to place cases, network with industry peers and learn of future opportunities for brokers and clients alike.

The events are free to attend and will provide three hours of CPD.

The schedule is as follows:

  • St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton on 27th February
  • Vicarage Stadium, Watford on 1st March
  • Brands Hatch, Kent on 3rd March
  • Villa Park Stadium, Birmingham on 6th March
  • Etihad Stadium, Manchester on 8th March
  • St James’s Park, Newcastle on 10th March

Paul McGonigle, chief executive at Positive Lending, said: “For two years, brokers had lost access to the seminars and lender visits that we all took for granted prior to the Covid 19 Pandemic. Whilst the market has grown exponentially in those two years, particularly in purchases of residential and buy-to-let properties the consequence will be the tightening of the market as inflation hits record numbers and mortgage rate increases, coupled with a reduced housing stock.

“We want to demonstrate where the opportunities lie for brokers – within the specialist lending space for opportunistic investors, assisting clients that cannot re-mortgage traditionally and how to assist landlords with raising refurbishment costs. More than that we are actively asking brokers to bring their problem cases to the event for immediate assistance.

“Our panel is exceptional, and we are delighted to have them share their knowledge with our brokers. These events have proven to be hugely popular in the past and we look forward to running more educational workshops later in the year too.”
