Perspective acquires two more practices

Perspective Financial Group Ltd, the national financial advisory group, has made a further two advisory practice acquisitions.

This brings the number of new firms added to the group this year to four.

The first acquisition is Newcastle Under Lyme-based Ad Valorem Wealth Management LLP. As part of the purchase the business will now be named Ad Valorem Wealth Management Solutions Ltd.

Ad Valorem will be managed by directors, Derek Baptist and Ceri Robbins. Both are registered individuals (RIs) with the business which also includes an additional self-employed RI and four back-office staff. The firm has funds under management of £150 million and recurring income of £600,000 per annum.

Perspective’s second acquisition this month is Bristol-based Falcon Pensions & Investments Ltd which will change its name to Key Pensions & Investments Ltd.

Chris Wheatley, the founder of Key, will remain as managing director and adviser. The business has £50 million funds under management and recurring income of £220,000 per annum.

Damian Keeling, managing director of Perspective Financial Group Ltd, said: “We have always stated that we continue to acquire quality advisory practices and the fact we have now made our third and fourth acquisitions of 2012 shows we are still committed to growing the business through acquisition and integrating these firms into the Group.

“With both Ad Valorem and Key we widen our geographical reach taking Perspective into Newcastle Under Lyme and Bristol respectively. Both are profitable and successful firms that have owner-managers who wish to utilise the significant support of the Group and our other offices to continue growing their individual offerings.

“We do not expect this to be the end of our acquisitions this year and indeed are in talks with a number of other firms who are looking to join the Group. However, acquisitions represent only a small part of our overall business model which also focuses on working with our existing Group offices and supporting them in their continued delivery of excellent advice, quality service and profitability.

“The Perspective proposition continues to be appealing to many advisory firms who appear to appreciate the wealth of talent and support we are able to provide.”
