Paymentshield has taken the number of providers on its home insurance panel to eight, with the addition of Prestige Underwriting Services.

The panel also includes AXA, Legal & General, LV= Broker, RSA, Geo Underwriting, UK General and Zurich.

James Loder (pictured), proposition director at Paymentshield, said: “The underwriting approach taken by Prestige complements the existing providers on Paymentshield’s home insurance panel, enabling us to provide customers with a wider scope of coverage and greater competition, which helps to bring down prices.

“We look forward to a long and successful working relationship with Prestige, further enhancing our home insurance product, which is already 5-Star Defaqto rated.”

Tim Baxter, head of broker development at Prestige Underwriting Services, added: “Paymentshield has a panel of well-respected general insurance providers and we are looking forward to Prestige joining this panel, to provide their advisers with even greater coverage and choice for their clients.”
