Paymentshield has recruited two new regional sales managers to its sales team.

The general insurance (GI) provider now has 24 field and telephone-based regional sales managers in total.

Jemma Yarnold joins Paymentshield as regional sales manager for the West Midlands, having previously worked for a financial network for more than 10 years, where she specialised in GI and business development.

She said: “My role is to ensure customers have access to holistic advice and a GI policy that meets their requirements. My passion is GI and I’m delighted to be working with Paymentshield – a company that shares the same passion and beliefs as I do.”

In East Anglia, Mark Goodwin becomes Paymentshield’s regional sales manager for the region on the back of a 35-year career in financial services. He has previously been a manager at Prudential and Legal and General.

He said: “I have been a business development manager predominately working in GI for the last 16 years. I am passionate about the sector and I’m delighted to have joined Paymentshield. We have a high profile in the intermediary market and our proposition is very strong, with a product range that combines excellent levels of cover and customer service. I’m very much looking forward to helping brokers develop and grow their businesses.”

James Watson, sales director at Paymentshield, added: “At Paymentshield, we understand that being the leading GI provider means giving advisers a complete experience that combines product, price, technology and service, to make it easy for them to offer their clients the most appropriate cover. A strong sales team is an important part of this experience and I believe we have the strongest team, both in terms of quality and quantity, that the market has to offer. We welcome Jemma and Mark aboard and look forward to building a successful working relationship together.”
