Paragon Bank backs sustainable Surrey scheme with £6.97m loan

A brownfield site in the Surrey village of Dunsfold is to be transformed into a high-specification private housing development, after Paragon Bank agreed a £6.97 million loan facility with SME housebuilder Antler Homes.

The Chiddingfold Road scheme will comprise 12 energy-efficient homes, including a mix of bungalows and family houses. The new development will feature four two-bedroom bungalows, alongside three, four and five-bedroom detached homes, designed to appeal to buyers looking for space, sustainability and a connection to the countryside.

The development is underpinned by a ‘fabric first’ approach to construction, with enhanced insulation and airtightness incorporated into each home to reduce energy demand.

All properties will also include air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points as standard.

Andrew Rinaldi, managing director of Antler Homes, said the project reflected the company’s commitment to quality and sustainability.

Paragon Bank’s development finance team has played a key role in supporting residential projects across the South East, with recent deals including £12.8 million for the conversion of an office building into 72 apartments in Chertsey, and £30 million for a 90-home all-electric development in West Sussex.

Interiors in the Dunsfold scheme will include bespoke fitted kitchens, branded integrated appliances, fitted wardrobes and a full turnkey specification.
