Paradigm Protect partners with MetLife

Paradigm Protect has embarked upon a new relationship with MetLife.

From today, a selected number of Paradigm Protect member firms will have access to MetLife’s Individual Protection offering, MultiProtect.

MultiProtect will be visible to member firms using SolutionBuilder, the client-centric, research, quote and apply solution from iPipeline; Paradigm Protect offers its members free licences for Solution Builder.

MultiProtect provides financial support for a range of specified accidental injuries and UK hospital stays. It also offers extended cover options for Child Cover, Active Lifestyle Cover and Healthcare Cover.

Core Cover starts from £8 to £40 per month with extended cover options from £1 per month. The premiums stay the same, even if the client makes a claim or as they get older. Clients can claim for multiple injuries and their policy will continue to protect them in the future.

Clients also receive free and unlimited access to MetLife’s professional wellbeing support centre, provided by Health Assured Limited.

Mike Allison, head of protection at Paradigm, said: “It’s important to keep developing Paradigm Protect’s relationships with the UK’s best protection providers and we are very pleased to be able to announce to member firms they will have access to MetLife’s MultiProtect. Initially this will be available to a selected number of firms who use SolutionBuilder, which is free to Paradigm Protect members, but it’s also our intention to swiftly make this offering more widely available as we progress the relationship.

“Protection should remain high on the agenda of all advisers, especially given the ongoing political and economic uncertainty. Moreover, as we have seen from the increased demand on our Protection helpdesk, from a health point of view, clients can never be 100% sure of what might be coming over the horizon. MultiProtect offers access to those who may find it difficult to get cover elsewhere, benefitting advisers who have a duty of care to their clients to ensure they are adequately protected.

“We continue to work with both advisers and providers to ensure we do all we can to bridge the protection gap in the UK. Finally, we are delighted to have been selected to be the first major directly authorised distributor of this product via SolutionBuilder, reiterating our commitment to member firms in offering the widest possible range of protection covers for their clients.”
