Paradigm partners with ActiveQuote

Paradigm Protect, the protection proposition for advisory firms, has begun a new introducer relationship with health insurance advice specialists, ActiveQuote.

From today, Paradigm Protect members – who might not be specialists in the health insurance market – will be able to refer clients to ActiveQuote in order that they can provide advice and quotes from a range of insurance companies.

ActiveQuote is fully independent and not tied to one insurer. It is fully authorised, regulated by the FCA and takes full liability for the advice provided. It deals directly with a large number of insurers including: Bupa, Aviva, AXA PPP, Vitality Health, Simply Health, April, CS Healthcare, Exeter Family Friendly, Freedom Healthcare, General & Medical, WPA, Universal Provident and PHC.

Paradigm Protect has negotiated introducer terms with ActiveQuote with the introducing adviser receiving 25% of the commission payable, with no claw back on commission for any client policy cancellations. ActiveQuote has also committed to keeping the introducing adviser fully up to date with the progress of their client’s plans.

Paradigm Protect has a membership of over 250 individual firms, is free to join and is open to all advisory firms, not just Paradigm members.

Mike Allison, Paradigm’s head of protection, said: “Part of our ongoing focus at Paradigm Protect is how we can broaden the product areas available to our members and this new relationship with ActiveQuote allows our non-health insurance specialists to add a further string to their advice bow. By introducing their clients to ActiveQuote advisers can be confident their client is receiving fully-regulated, quality advice from a market-leading player, plus their client is securing access to all the best and most appropriate PMI deals currently available. Not all those advisers offering protection advice can be specialists in every single area and we have found that the health insurance market is one that a number of advisers are not active in.

“By working with ActiveQuote, Paradigm are opening up this product space to our membership meaning clients need not have to be turned away and the adviser can secure additional income. We have further developments planned during 2015 to support advisers actively writing protection business and would urge any business that is looking for the best quality access in the protection marketplace, to contact us to see how we can support them.”
