Paradigm Mortgage Services has renewed its strategic relationship with national law firm Ison Harrison.

Paradigm members will continue to be able to access Ison Harrison’s full will-writing service and its fixed-price electronic divorce service.

However, Paradigm members will be also now be able to refer their clients to Ison Harrison to utilise its Family Trust service. Homeowners can transfer their house into a life interest trust which protects their property should various unforeseen circumstances put the property at risk in the future, for example, if the homeowner remarries or moves into a nursing home then the property will normally be protected. Once the house is in trust the owners can live there rent-free having already passed it on to their beneficiaries.

Benefits from using Ison Harrison’s will-writing service include its charging structure – £100 plus VAT for a single will and £150 plus VAT for a mirror will, with each introduction the intermediary/adviser makes earning £40 per will. Clients can also pay £25 plus VAT for the optional extra of registering their will on the National Will Register.

It also includes free storage on all wills for life and free amendments on wills for the first five years. Ison Harrison will also review the will of any client to ensure they remain valid and reflect the client’s current wishes.

Ison Harrison is offering an iPad2 to the first Paradigm member firm completes five cases with them the cases can be a mix of wills and/or trusts and require the firm to register and instruct.

Later this year Paradigm and Ison Harrison will be hosting a workshop in London which will provide members with a range of information and support in order to make the most of the opportunities that exist within the legal services sector.

Bob Hunt, chief executive of Paradigm Mortgage Services, said: “Our initial relationship with Ison Harrison was established in April last year and we have had a strong response from members to the services they offer. With this renewed strategic partnership we are able to offer firms a host of value-added services from Ison Harrison including the addition of the Family Trust service which we believe will find a ready market given the issues that many elderly homeowners have in protecting their stake in their homes.
