ONP Solicitors hires new senior operations manager

ONP Solicitors has appointed Amy Colton as senior operations manager to lead the firm’s newly launched Cardiff office, marking an expansion for the conveyancing firm, which is part of the Movera Group.

A qualified solicitor since 2010, Colton (pictured) brings more than a decade of experience in residential conveyancing and operational leadership. She previously held senior roles at Premier Property Lawyers and Countrywide, including deputy and senior management positions.

Colton described the opportunity to establish ONP’s Cardiff office as a rare and meaningful career move. “I wanted to come back to Cardiff – to be in a city I know and love – and do something meaningful,” she said. “Setting up a new office from scratch is rare in this industry. This isn’t just about processes and productivity – it’s about people.”

Colton, who is currently completing an ILM Level 5 qualification in management and leadership, is focused on creating a collaborative and high-performing team. Recruitment for the Cardiff office is already under way, with an emphasis on experienced conveyancers eager to contribute to a new and growing team.

“In the early days, I’m looking for people who are driven, client-focused, and thrive in a team setting,” she said. “It’s not just about technical skill – it’s about attitude, collaboration, and shared ambition. I’m here to build a strong, collaborative, happy team who love coming to work and who deliver incredible service as a result.”

Colton’s approach to leadership is centred on fairness, openness and long-term investment in people – a philosophy that aligns with the broader values of ONP and its parent group. “Someone once took the time to invest in me, and now I get to pay that forward,” she said. “At ONP and Movera, we believe in career pathways, clear development, and giving people the tools to grow. That’s what sets us apart – we’re building something that lasts.”

Warren Martin, director of operations at ONP Solicitors, welcomed the appointment. “We’re thrilled to welcome Amy to the business,” he said. “Her passion for people and proven leadership in conveyancing make her the ideal person to lead our Cardiff launch. This office represents a significant step in our growth journey, and under Amy’s direction, we’re confident it will become a centre of excellence for both client service and team development.”
