Novium adds L&G’s critical illness cover to sourcing platform

Published on

Advisers using Novium’s protection sourcing platform can now quote Legal & General’s critical illness cover (CIC) as part of a multi-benefit policy on a guaranteed basis, following a significant expansion of the insurer’s offering on the system.

Until now, advisers seeking a standalone CIC policy from L&G in this way would have needed to quote directly. The new functionality makes it possible to generate multi-benefit quotes that include L&G’s CIC proposition, giving intermediaries more flexibility when assembling protection packages.

Both the core and extra versions of L&G’s critical illness policies remain eligible for the expansion and will continue to offer free life cover as part of the CIC element.

Amy Loxton, product manager at Novium, said the update was in direct response to adviser demand. “We have listened to our advisers’ feedback and are delighted to have L&G’s proposition on our platform,” she said.

“It’s a further demonstration of our commitment to deliver more choice and value to our brokers and underlines the strength of the relationship between Primis, Novium and L&G.”

Craig Morrison, intermediary account director at L&G, said: “We are pleased that advisers can now easily access L&G’s CIC proposition through Novium’s platform.

“We’re committed to working closely with our intermediary partners to meet adviser needs and ultimately drive better customer outcomes.”

Novium’s sourcing platform is used by appointed representatives across the Primis network and other intermediaries, offering advisers the ability to compare protection products across multiple providers.

The integration of L&G’s CIC proposition into multi-benefit quoting is expected to streamline advice processes and support the delivery of more comprehensive protection recommendations.
