Norton Group hires head of operations to boost broker service

Norton Group has appointed Amy Husband as head of operations as the Rotherham-based lender seeks to enhance service delivery and improve its support for brokers.

Husband (pictured) took up the post on Monday 9 June, bringing with her a decade of experience in mortgage operations across several fintech and specialist lending businesses.

She joins Norton from long-term fixed rate lender Perenna, where she led the underwriting, servicing and customer care teams before being promoted to head of operations.

Her tenure there was marked by a focus on process improvement and borrower experience, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Earlier roles at Mojo Mortgages, Atom Bank and INTOUCH Financial Advice have seen Husband gain extensive experience across intermediary support, originations, and application processing — all of which she is expected to draw on in her new remit at Norton.

Her responsibilities will span Norton’s mortgage and loan operations, with a focus on reducing turnaround times and improving communication between the firm and its broker partners.

She will also lead initiatives to refine the customer journey and ensure operational teams are aligned with the group’s strategic goals.

Paul Stringer, co-chief executive at Norton Group, said: “Amy brings with her a wealth of operational expertise and a deep understanding of what brokers need to deliver for their clients.

“Her experience in fast-paced, regulated environments will help us refine our internal processes and continue to deliver a responsive, reliable service to the brokers we work with. We’re really pleased to welcome her to the team.”

Husband said she was proud to be joining Norton at a pivotal point in its operational development.

“My aim is to strengthen the operations function so that we’re as efficient and effective as possible, while still providing the tailored service brokers value,” she said. “I’m looking forward to helping drive positive change and supporting the team in delivering great outcomes.”
