New underwriter for the Teachers

Martyn Balsom has been appointed as a new mortgage underwriter at the Teachers Building Society.

He joins the Teachers from Nationwide.

Balsom has worked in the mortgage industry for the last 15 years as an underwriter, consultant and in the area of litigation.

He said: “I was really pleased to be appointed in the role of underwriter at Teachers, I’m really looking forward to working with everyone at Teachers and to helping the Society grow in the future.”

James Bawa, chief executive for Teachers Building Society, added: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Martyn to Teachers Building Society. In his new role he will be able to help the Society achieve our plan for steady and continued growth, strengthening the Society with his knowledge and experience of the mortgage industry.”
