New Strategic Partner for Shawbrook Bank

Published on

Brooklands Commercial Finance has become a Strategic Partner of Shawbrook Bank.

It has been a commercial and residential property finance brokerage for 15 years.

Malcolm Jones, managing director at Brooklands Commercial Finance, said: “Brooklands Commercial Finance, like Shawbrook, are a forward thinking and entrepreneurial business and often provide a non-checklist commercial approach to transactions. This strategy, determination and pragmatic approach enables us to operate outside the box, in order to find solutions to challenging cases.

“More often than not, we think of Shawbrook when we are presented with a case. This is simply because Shawbrook offer a hybrid and commercial approach to all deals and this is clear from their lending criteria and bespoke products. From the indicative quote through the underwriting process and to credit sign off Shawbrook provide an excellent service. The team at Brooklands feel that they are working with a partner as opposed to a bank when they deal with Shawbrook.

“As a conscientious and compliant business, Brooklands were one of the first brokerages in the UK to obtain full Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) permissions. As a directly authorised brokerage we are able to access the entire lender market, unlike many brokers who are restricted to a handful of lenders. We often find other brokers will contact us with enquiries when they are unable to place a deal. As always, we welcome those enquiries and continue to offer a comprehensive product suite to our clients and introducers.”

Peter Turner, senior development manager at Shawbrook Commercial Mortgages, added: “Brooklands has been in the specialist lending and commercial arena for many years and has been a great supporter of Shawbrook over that time. Malcolm has worked with us to become a Strategic Partner by hosting both broker and client events to promote and cement our relationship and it’s great that we can now welcome them to the Strategic Partner family. We look forward to supporting Brooklands grow over the coming years.”
