Prospero Finance Ltd has become the latest Strategic Broker Partner for Shawbrook Bank.

Prospero Finance were formed in April 2016 with the aim to provide a quality service to customers in the residential and commercial property investment market.

Martin Smedley, director at Prospero, said: “Although the company is relatively young we have worked tirelessly over the past two years and are excited to have reached one of our key milestone targets in 2018 by becoming one of Shawbrook Bank’s Strategic Partners.

“Our business growth relies on numerous factors – one of these is having a solid relationship with lenders. Shawbrook have proved time after time that they offer a quality service that enables us to complete not only the simplest transaction but more importantly the cases that require a little more outside of the box nurturing.

“The team at Prospero Finance have over 30 years’ experience in the mortgage packaging arena and still find it refreshing to work with a lender whose ethos to work with introducers by providing a quality, and often bespoke service, is unparalleled.

“Over the next few months we will be welcoming back some familiar faces to the business in readiness to expand our service, including opening up channels to provide the introducer market with access to Shawbrook’s products.

“We look forward to the journey in front of us whilst applying the lessons learnt from the past.”

Peter Turner, senior development manager at Shawbrook Commercial Property, added: “Prospero Finance are experts in helping property professionals and investors build their portfolios and add value to properties via conversions and refurbishments.

“They are able to find the right deals for their clients across their panel of lenders, which include many of Shawbrook’s Short Term loan products plus our STL to term switch with minimal fuss and cost to the clients.

“Martin and the team are proactive with the client and the lender to ensure the deals happen as quickly as possible. They are a delight to work with and I look forward to working with them closely in the future.”
