New partnership aims to transform auction conveyancing

Published on

A new partnership between ONP Solicitors, iamproperty Group, and Connells Group is aiming to transform the auction conveyancing process with the launch of a specialist Modern Method of Auction (MMoA) buyer conveyancing service.

The service, which officially launched following a successful soft rollout in August 2024, is designed to deliver faster completions, greater transparency, and improved customer service for auction buyers—improving upon the typical 56-day deadline associated with MMoA transactions.

It combines the firms’ collective legal and auction expertise to streamline the auction conveyancing journey. The new offering ensures that both buyer and seller solicitors work within a shared framework, providing consistent case management and tailored documentation designed to eliminate common transaction delays.

COMPLETION TIMES

According to the partners, the service has already demonstrated its impact. Average completion times stand at 49 days, with some transactions completing in as little as 12 days from receipt of draft contracts. The service has also achieved a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 85.

Sharon Beedham, relationship director at ONP Solicitors, part of home moving group Movera, said: “This partnership exemplifies the power of working together to drive innovation in the property sector.

“By combining our legal expertise with the auction specialists at iamproperty Group and Connells Group, we’re setting a new standard for speed and customer satisfaction in auction conveyancing.”

The service also gives buyers access to 24/7 case tracking, secure communication with their conveyancer, and transparent pricing, providing greater certainty throughout the process.

Julian Lavender, relationship director at iamproperty, added: “The auction market is evolving rapidly, and this initiative is an important step in shaping its future. This collaboration ensures that auction transactions become even more efficient, accessible, and attractive to buyers and sellers alike.”

Jeanette Coughlan, home conveyancing director at Connells Group: “By integrating technology with expert case progression, this service provides buyers with the support, speed and certainty they need when purchasing through auction.

“Both buyers and sellers across our estate agency network are increasingly aware of the benefits of the modern method of auction, and this partnership demonstrates our commitment to them, by elevating this unique customer experience and making their transaction as stress-free as possible.”

The new service is now rolling out across the Connells and Countrywide estate agency networks, with the partners pledging to continue refining the offering as part of a broader commitment to modernising property transactions.
