New Homes buys Clark Marshall to grow shared ownership reach

Published on

New Homes Mortgage Services LLP has acquired Clark Marshall Associates Ltd in a deal designed to expand its position in the shared ownership market.

The acquisition brings Clark Marshall’s shared ownership specialism into the New Homes business, broadening the group’s advisery footprint and adding to its presence across the affordable home ownership sector.

Clark Marshall Associates Ltd will now trade as Clark Marshall Advisers Mortgage and Protection. Both firms will continue to operate as associate representatives of Sesame Network.

The deal is New Homes’ second acquisition, following its purchase of Barron Financial Solutions in November 2025.

New Homes is a mortgage broker focused on new-build lending and protection advice, and said the acquisition forms part of its wider growth strategy.

New Homes said the integration would combine Clark Marshall’s experience in shared ownership with its own infrastructure and distribution, with the enlarged business aiming to provide wider support to clients, introducers and developers.

Stewart Bartle (pictured), founding partner and managing director of New Homes Mortgage Services, said: “Clark Marshall Associates Ltd has a strong reputation in the shared ownership marketplace. Bringing the business into New Homes supports our strategic growth and expands our market share into the affordable ownership sector.

“It also gives CMA clients access to a wider range of protection expertise from New Homes specialist protection advisers.”

Ian Clark, director of Clark Marshall Associates, added: “We’re proud of the strong reputation we’ve built across London and the South of England for delivering personal, dependable mortgage advice, and that commitment remains unchanged.

“This partnership enables us to continue specialising in shared ownership while also offering our clients the added value of expert protection advice, supported by the technology and expertise required in today’s ever-evolving market.

“It marks the next stage in our journey, and we’re incredibly excited about the future of Clark Marshall Advisers Mortgage and Protection.”
