New FTB and home mover rates from Halifax

Halifax has unveiled new rates on selected two-year fixed first time buyer and home mover products.

New deals include:

  • 75-85% LTV two-year fixed rate first time buyer product with rates from 2.69% (£495 fee)
  • 75-85% LTV two-year fixed rate home mover products with rates from 2.74% (£495 fee)

They include a £500 cashback offer. Launched on 9 March, the cashback offer is available to all first-time buyers and homemovers who apply for a qualifying mortgage between 9 March and 3 May 20152. The £500 will be paid as cashback to customers through their conveyancer when the mortgage completes.

Craig McKinlay, mortgages director at Halifax, said: “Halifax is committed to helping Britain prosper and ensuring we provide competitive products and great service to all our customers.

“On top of our current £500 cashback offer, these new rates will further support first-time buyers who are trying to buy their first home and home movers who are looking to move up the housing ladder.”
