New chairman for CML Scotland

Jim Dunn, general manager of the Scottish Building Society, has become chairman of CML Scotland.

He succeeds Douglas Cochrane of Lloyds Banking Group.

Dunn joined Scottish Building Society in January 1998 and has been employed in the financial services industry for more than 30 years. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland (FCIBS) and has acted as an examiner for the Institute’s Mortgage Advice & Practice Certificate.

At the CML Scotland annual lunch in Edinburgh today, he said: “Lower repossessions are a testament to the actions of lenders in Scotland to give all assistance they can to borrowers in financial distress.
