New 5-yr fix from the Leeds

Leeds Building Society has expanded its five-year fixed rate mortgage range.

Rates now start from 5.35%. There is no higher lending charge and 10% capital repayments are allowed each year without penalty.

The rate of 5.35% is available up to 80%. There is also a version available at 5.79% between 81% and 85% LTV.

Phil Coombes, Leeds Building Society’s head of intermediary sales, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for those borrowers who wish to lock into the certainty of low fixed repayments. The product provides clients with peace of mind and the security that their monthly payments will remain the same for five years
