10th-anniversary

Newcastle Building Society (NBS) has made its 10-year mortgage product fees free.

The 4.49% fixed rate now comes with no reservation or completion fees and is available up to 80% Loan to Value (LTV).

The product comes with no early repayment charges (ERCs) after five years. The minimum and maximum loan amounts are £10,000 and £1,000,000 respectively.

Steve Urwin, sales and marketing executive at NBS, said: “This product was been revised since its launch to make it even more flexible for borrowers.

“It is great for borrowers that need the reassurance that fixed mortgage payments give, but it also provides that element of flexibility in that you can leave the deal after five years without an ERC penalty.”

The Society also launched a five-year fixed rate at 3.52% (APR 5.1%). This product is available up to 80% LTV and comes with no completion fees.
