The National Counties Building Society and the Family Building Society have joined SimplyBiz Mortgages’ 37-strong panel of lenders.

All SimplyBiz Mortgages members will now have direct access to a full range of products that provide affordable mortgage solutions for the under-served older borrower, as well as solutions to enable first time buyers to get a foot on the property ladder.

Martin Reynolds, chief executive of SimplyBiz Mortgages, said: “We have long been impressed with the innovative approach of The Family Building Society and have been particularly interested in the changes that National Counties has made during the past 18 months. Following extensive due diligence on both brands we are delighted to welcome them to our panel.

“National Counties’ product offering and the firm’s view of underwriting highlight how the building society sector is helping more and more clients obtain a mortgage and we are pleased to offer this greater choice to our members.”

Cammy Amaira, head of intermediary sales at National Counties Building Society, added: “We are thrilled to be working with SimplyBiz Mortgages and its members to enable more advisers and consumers access to our unique product range. SimplyBiz Mortgages’ approach to compliance and support of its members is an excellent fit as we look to grow our directly authorised distribution. We look forward to our partnership flourishing over the coming months.”
