Movera supporting staff with professional development

Home-moving group, Movera, has invested in six colleagues towards gaining their professional qualifications, with plans to support 20 more colleagues each year.
This initiative has the ambition to develop and grow a highly skilled and diverse team, to ensure the delivery of “exceptional” service to its clients and partners.
Movera, whose brands include ONP Solicitors, Cavendish Legal Group and LMS, launched the funding programme for employees to pursue professional qualifications in fields including law, finance, and leadership. Qualifications supported through this initiative include the CLC (Council for Licensed Conveyancers), CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives), SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Exam), Institute of Leadership and Management, and the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts (CIMA).
The group is investing £75,000 of its apprenticeship levy annually into the programme, alongside an additional £20,000 allocated for non-apprenticeship qualifications and professional development. By fully funding these qualifications, Movera aims to create equal opportunities for individuals across all of its brands and departments.
Paulo Dos Santos (pictured), case manager at ONP is being supported with their CILEX Foundation course, and said: “Since joining Movera in 2022 as part of the Leeds remortgage team, I have been continuously supported in my professional growth. Movera’s commitment to my development included backing my completion of the CILEX Foundation course, which played a pivotal role in advancing my career.
“In April 2024, I honed my expertise by completing an in-depth Conveyancing Property Lawyer training course. This training has enabled me to transition seamlessly into the Leeds conveyancing team, where I am eager to contribute to the department’s ongoing success.”
Connie Murray-Jones, legal assistant at Cavendish Legal Group, who being supported with their CILEX Foundation course, added: “Movera’s support with my CILEX Foundation course has been a tangible asset for my career at Cavendish Legal Group. The comprehensive resources and guidance have allowed me to deepen my understanding of the legal field while balancing my work responsibilities.
“Not only has the course expanded my legal knowledge, but it has also given me the confidence to take on more complex tasks and grow within my role as a legal assistant. Movera’s commitment to my professional development has been instrumental, and I’m excited about the new opportunities this qualification will open for me in the future.”
“Launching our professional qualification approach has been a fundamental part of our overall learning and development strategy,” said Chris Harvey, head of learning and development at Movera.
“Our aim is to support the development and careers of all our people, whatever the field. I hear so much about how it can be difficult to step into and progress a career in law, and this program, along with our dedicated programmes, will certainly help people do that.”
